The Beatles

A história dos Beatles começa em 1956. Em junho deste ano John Lennon cantava na banda "Quarrymen". Paul foi apresentado a John e convidado a entrar na banda. Depois de alguns meses, Paul apresentou seu grande amigo George Harrison a John, e ele também foi convidado a se juntar aos "Quarrymen".

Eles começaram as primeiras apresentações com o nome "The Nurk Twins". Fizeram sucesso, abandonaram a escola para se dedicar apenas a música. Fizeram as primeiras apresentações em programas de calouros na TV com o nome "Johnny and The Moondogs". Paul convidou o baterista Pete Best para se juntar ao grupo, agora com o nome de "Silver Beatles". Ringo Starr foi convidado apenas temporariamente para substituir Pete Best. O grupo começou as gravações em Hamburgo. Os integrantes, na ocasião, eram: John, Paul, George, Stu Sutcliffe e Ringo . Na mesma época a namorada de Stu Sutcliffe bolou o novo penteado da banda. John, Paul, George e Ringo voltam para Liverpool. Stu Sutcliffe deixou a banda para ficar com a namorada em Hamburgo. Pete Best volta a ocupar o posto de baterista.


The Beatles e a Entrada de Ringo Starr
Em 1961 John Lennon muda o nome da banda para The Beatles. O grupoassina contrato com o novo empresário da banda: Brian Epstein. Em 1962 os Beatles foram contratados pela EMI. John, Paul, George e Brian ficam insatisfeitos com o baterista Pete Best e chamam Ringo Starr para seu lugar.



Começam os "Primeiros Lugares":

"Love Me Do" alcança o primeiro lugar em várias listas de sucessos e fica entre os mais vendidos da Inglaterra. Em 1963 e gravado "Please Please Me" , que alcança o primeiro lugar na Inglaterra. "From Me To You" e "She Loves You" também alcançam o primeiro lugar.


Começa Beatlemania:

É gravado "With The Beatles". John Lennon e Paul McCartney são eleitos os melhores compositores do ano de 1963 . O sucesso faz serem esgotados todos os discos da banda. Aumenta o número de shows e as músicas são tocadas a cada minuto em todas as rádios e programas de tv. Em 1964 os EUA se rendem aos Beatles. O grupo se apresentou no programa de TV de Ed Sullivan.


Os Beatles gravam o primeiro filme "A Hard Day's Night" com enorme sucesso. Em 1965 eles filmam "Help!", na Inglaterra e Bahamas. É lançado O LP "Help!". No final de 1965 foi lançado o LP "Rubber Soul", iniciando uma fase mais instrumental do grupo. Em 1966 foi a vez do LP "Revolver".


Primeiras Críticas:

John, Paul, George e Ringo não estavam gostando do desempenho dos Beatles nos shows. Além disso estavam cansados dos gritos e berros das fãs, e de ameaças até de morte. Resolveram que fariam o último show nos Estados Unidos, no estádio Candlestick Park. Surge o boato de que Paul McCartney morreu com a cabeça decepada em um acidente de carro. George Harrison viaja para a Índia. Lá ele aprende a tocar citara. John Lennon é odiado pelo público por dizer que era mais conhecido que Jesus Cristo. Discos dos Beatles são queimados em praça pública. A imprensa diz que seria o fim dos Beatles e os bombardeiam de criticas.


A Volta ao Sucesso com Sgt. Ppeppers Lonely Hearts Club Band:

Em 1967 Os Beatles gravam "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart's Club Band". O disco marcou com alto estilo a volta da banda e foi considerado o melhor disco dos Beatles. O empresário Brian Epstein, é encontrado morto em sua casa por uma overdose de drogas. Os Beatles resolvem que comandariam seus próprios negócios. Ainda em 1967 lançam "Magical Mistery Tour". O disco foi um fracasso de vendas. Em 1968 gravaram o "Álbum Branco".


O Grupo Começa a Acabar:

Ringo Starr estava se sentido inferior e querendo abandonar a banda. Paul casa-se com Linda e John casa-se com Yoko, que torna-se "o quinto Beatle". Em 1969 "Abbey Road" é gravado em meio a insatisfação. Crises nas finanças, a presença de Yoko nos ensaios, as brigas entre os próprios Beatles, principalmente entre Paul, John e George tiveram um final trágico. Em 1970 Paul anuncia a sua saída dos Beatles. Vai à Justiça, é o fim dos Beatles. Ainda em 1970 foram aproveitadas algumas gravações e acabaram lançando o disco Let It Be.
